Start & finish: Sunday, 24 Sep. 2017 @ Cheile Gradistei Fundata, the Race Village

While being the shortest of the 3 stages, the last part of this epic adventure is filled with impressive vistas, challenging tracks and pure MTB experiences. Right from the start, after a couple of ups and downs, you begin the ascent from Moeciu on rugged roads, through a rocky scenery, right up to the Bucsa Peak – 1,845 meters, which separates Bucegi from the Leaota Mountains. There you will be welcomed by a great feeling of victory and some astonishing views over the large and mysterious valleys.

Some say that stones whisper to all those who venture into these wild regions of the Carpathians. Others say that just by being there you will catch a glimpse of a world raw and uncompromised. What we know for sure is that the Carpathians will challenge you and the only way to respond is to fight back and ride strong.

The track follows the plateau to reveal another side of the Saua Strunga pass at 1,909 meters altitude and set you once again on a picturesque descent that leads right up to the Race Village. The finish line awaits: the excitement, the cheering crowd, the gruesome struggle and a gratifying sense of victory!

Final track length may vary slightly. Please consult the Ride Guide in the week of the race. Final technical characteristics will also be communicated during the Technical Briefing held before each stage.
