Registrations are now opened for the second edition of the competition Carpathian MTB Epic, organized by MPG Romania! Passionate mountain bikers, both professionals and amateurs, have the chance to book their place for a special price during the launch period starting Wednesday, the 14th of February 2018: http://www.carpathianmtb.ro.
Carpathian MTB Epic was launched in 2017, being quickly appreciated as one of the most spectacular races from Eastern Europe, through the beauty of the landscapes, full service package, exceptional promotion and the quality of organization. Romania gained a well-deserved place on the map claimed by the most important international cycling competitions.
Internationally recognized professional cyclists and amateur athletes from 15 countries have already announced their intention to participate at this event in 2018. Thus, mountain bike enthusiasts from Romania have the opportunity to experience a unique cycling race at the second edition of the Carpathian MTB Epic, which will take place between August 16-19, 2018, at Cheile Gradistei – Fundata, an Olympic level international resort.
Carpathian MTB Epic challenges you to enjoy a unique adventure, offering a top experience during a 4-stage race: with over 180 km of riding and 8,100 meters of climbing in a wild and rugged land. Now, you will have the chance to explore the most picturesque trails of the Southern Carpathians in a special 4-day event: Carpathian MTB Epic! Wild. Rugged. EPIC!
In 2018, Carpathian MTB Epic is included in the calendar of the International Cycling Union (UCI), category S2, offering professional athletes access to 80 UCI points, for the first time in Romania, which are relevant to the eligibility of participants in the 2020 Olympics.
Two race options are available at registration this summer:
Cyclists will benefit from a special registration fee during the launch period. Entries are open exclusively online at http://www.carpathianmtb.ro, the page being available both in English and Romanian. Special fees are prepared for participants residing in Romania through the Regional Development Program for Mass Sports, but also for cycling clubs affiliated to National Federations and for large groups of riders. Subsequently, the price of entry will gradually increase, the last day available for registration in this event being the 5th of August, 2018.
